Frequently asked questions

You don’t need teaching experience, but you should have a consistent Pilates practice. I teach everything step-by-step, and you’ll be fully supported throughout the entire program. Your tuition also includes a 20-class pack (valued at $450 + HST) so you can deepen your personal practice alongside the training. I want you to feel fully prepared and confident — both in your own body and as a future instructor.

The curriculum is based on PEI (Pilates Education Institute) standards and aligned with the NCPT (National Pilates Certification Program). Upon successful completion, you will receive an Athina Pilates Reformer Teacher Training Certificate.

The program includes 160 hours total:

Teaching Labs: 60 Hours (36 hours in-studio instruction + 24 hours on-line self study work)

Observation: 20 Hours

Self Practice: 25 Hours

Practice Teaching: 35 Hours

Practice Classes: 20 Hours

Final Assessment

The full tuition for the program is $3,300 CAD + HST.
If you choose to pay in full, the tuition is $3,000 CAD + HST — a $300 savings.

A $400 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.

Most students are able to complete the training in approximately 12-16 weeks. However, the exact timeline can vary depending on your pace, skill development, and confidence in teaching safely and effectively. Our priority is ensuring you feel fully prepared before completing the program.

Life happens. You can make up any missed hours through private sessions or scheduled makeup days for an additional cost.

Yes! Our goal is to make sure you feel confident, safe, and fully prepared. You’ll practice hands-on teaching, cueing, programming, and learn how to manage different class scenarios, including working with special populations.

Yes. You will have opportunities to observe, assist, and eventually teach at the studio as part of your training hours included with the program.

Spaces are limited! We will keep the group small -maximum 8 students - so everyone gets personalized attention and hands-on corrections.

Yes. There is a final practical assessment and a written test. I prepare you for both, and you’ll know exactly what to expect.

No, you’ll have full access to the studio equipment for all practice and teaching hours.

You’ll receive your certificate and you’ll be eligible to apply for open teaching positions.
