Teacher Training Overview

Become a confident, skilled, and safe Reformer Pilates instructor with the Athina Pilates Teacher Training Program—a comprehensive, in-person certification designed for anyone who wants to teach or deepen their understanding of Reformer Pilates. Our unique program provides trainees the tools they need to become qualified trainers both privately and in the classroom.

This training provides strong foundational knowledge, hands-on practice, and real teaching experience to prepare you for leading effective and safe Reformer classes.

The full tuition for the program is $3,300 CAD + HST.
If you choose to pay in full, the tuition is $3,000 CAD + HST — a $300 savings.

A $400 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.

Who This Training Is For

This program is ideal for:

  • Aspiring Pilates instructors

  • Clients who want a deeper understanding of Pilates

  • Anyone passionate about movement and teaching

No prior teaching experience is required. However, you must complete at least 30 hours of Reformer practice as a client/practitioner before beginning the training is required.

Program Details

  • The program includes 160 hours total:

    Teaching Labs: 60 Hours (30 hours in-studio instruction + 30 hours on-line self study work)

    Observation: 20 Hours

    Self Practice: 25 Hours

    Practice Teaching: 35 Hours

    Practice Classes: 20 Hours

    Final Assessment

  • 3 levels of training: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.

  • All classes are mandatory but make-up training hours can be available with Ahu. Please note you can make up any missed hours through private sessions or scheduled makeup days for an additional cost.

  • The curriculum is based on PEI (Pilates Education Institute) standards and aligned with NPCP (National Pilates Certification Program). Upon successful completion, you will receive an Athina Pilates Reformer Teacher Training Certificate.

We are proud to use the Pilates Education Institute (PEI) Reformer curriculum as the foundation of our program.

PEI has created a beautifully structured training and software system for studios that want to deliver their own in-depth, high-quality education. We chose the PEI program because it includes every component needed to offer a clear, comprehensive, and professional training experience for our students.
